From Research to Practice: Our Journey

EchoWatch S.r.l. was founded on April 15, 2015 as a spin-off company from the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli,” with the goal of revolutionizing the approach to vascular access in critical contexts.

Our team is composed of university professors in internal medicine (over 800 scientific publications), engineers with strong expertise in electronics and computer vision, and experts in marketing. Thanks to this multidisciplinary synergy, we have developed a wearable device – in the form of a bracelet – that integrates three core functionalities:

Real-time visualization of blood vessels
Localized heating system
Mechanical clamp for vascular immobilization

Our Mission

EchoWatch aims to reduce the time needed to locate a vein and ensure over 95% success on the first attempt, even in critical contexts or with uncooperative patients. Thanks to the integration of university research, technological expertise, and an entrepreneurial spirit, we offer a solution that simplifies the work of doctors, nurses, and patients.

Our goal is to provide healthcare professionals with a portable and easy-to-use tool capable of reducing human error and stress for patients during the puncture phase. We aim to make cutting-edge technology available even in large hospitals, so that every doctor or nurse can operate with precision and safety in hospitals, ambulances, or at the patient’s home.
